About Us
Middlebrook Playschool has been in business for 50 years, and our current owner Becky Hayward has owned MPS for 30 years. Our goal is to provide a home away from home for your child. We are honored to several generations of the same family and even have several of our children come back to join us as staff!
MPS creates a fun, loving, learning atmosphere for your child. Each day our children are exposed to arts and crafts, educational activities, and interaction with others to promote well-rounded development.
Our Kindergarten Prep program offers a hands on curriculum and time with a certified teacher to get ready for kindergarten!
We have an afterschool program that runs through the school year, as well as a summer program.
We provide a clean and safe environment where children have fun and learn at the same time. We at MPS want your child to look forward to coming to school!

2025 Weekly Rates:
Infants (6 weeks to 12 months): $311.00
Toddlers (12 to 24 months): $247.00
Two Year old Class: $239.00
Three Year old Class: $219.00
Four Year old Class: $219.00
Pre-Kindergarten Readiness: $225.00
Afterschool (Kindergarten to 5th Grade): $105.00
Other Fees:
Enrollment Fee: $100.00 non-refundable enrollment fee due at enrollment
Annual Activity Fee: $100.00 due January 1st for all age groups
Afterschoolers are charged an additional $15 a day for full days when Knox County is out.
MPS gives active military families a 5% discount. Ask about our multi-child discount.

Hours:
Monday -Friday 6:30 am to 6:00 pm
We reserve the right to initially charge a $5.00 late fee and then $2.00 per minute after 6:05 pm in which your child remains under our supervision, double on holidays.

MPS is closed on the following holidays.
New Years Eve closed @ 3:00 pm
New Years Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving and the day after
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day
We close early on New Years Eve. If Christmas Day and New Years Day fall on the weekend, MPS will close either Friday and Monday. Watch for posted notices to find out more.
There are no adjustments on child care fees for these holidays.
